In 2005 his children’s novel Mäelstrøm was picked up by an Editor at Bloomsbury, but failed to impress their Sales & Marketing department. In 2010 his story Charlotte’s Tantrums was shortlisted for the Brit Writers Award.  He has been represented by Curtis Brown and Bell Lomax Moreton literary agencies for his picture book texts.

Now a data monkey on the office treadmill, he once worked in a Cornish monkey sanctuary.

In his youth he won a fancy dress competition dressed as a volcano.
